As we predicted, Yoly and I returned from NC with our new truck camper this week. This is just a preliminary quick glimpse of the basic unit. Much more detail to follow after personal mods are installed and the cabin settled in. We chose this camper for many reasons .... 1) it does not come from the land of shoddy craftsmanship in the mid-west. It is built in Yakima, WA. by a Canadian owned company, Adventurer LP. 2) it utilizes composite materials and aluminum to keep weight down. 3) it is a "4-Seasons" camper with R9 insulation with the tanks mounted inside the structure rather than outside on the bottom. 4) it comes with a 3-Year structural warranty. 5) The people at ALP are friendly and professional and are very accessible if need be. 5) Unlike their competitors, ALP weighs each unit after all the options are installed and that weight is posted on a special sticker inside the camper. 6) the interior design and execution is warmer and more modern than most of the others we researched. 7) we have a dislike for conventional RV dinette seating arrangements and the 80RB comes with a very comfortable couch with a sliding top dinette table.
